The New Zealand sharemarket ended the week with another small loss, as local technology stocks belatedly registered recent declines for the sector on Wall Street. The benchmark S&P/NZX50 Index closed down 0.17 per cent, or 21.7 points, at 12,729.9 on Friday, following a 0.7 per cent decline on Thursday. “The market was dragged down by technology stocks and a bit of a delayed reaction to what we’ve seen, particularly in the US market where the technology stocks have been quite weak,” said Shane Solly, portfolio manager at Harbour Asset Management.
