Life in Nelson for Saed Al Azza is very different from the one he grew up in Bethlehem, Palestine. Al Azza remembers the fighting when, in 2000, Israel occupied more of the West Bank. He and his friends lost their childhoods, he said"When you grow up you hear bombs, shooting, killing people - I didn't have freedom." In Palestine, Al Azza worked in hotels and restaurants and studied hotel management.
