"What happen yesterday (over moon sighting) is, I think, an outcome of the lack of good governance in the country," said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. The BNP leader alleged that two different announcements over the Eid confused people, reports UNB. The BNP leader claimed many holidaymakers were killed and injured in road accidents on their way home while many others could not go to their native places. The BNP leaders alleged that the authorities have violated the jail code by not allowing BNP's senior leaders to meet their Chairperson Khaleda Zia. Fakhrul, along with party senior leaders, went to Zia's grave around 11am and placed wreaths.
