BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the budget targets the next election and will not do any good for the people. Fakhrul made the statement while distributing clothes among poor people at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka to mark BNP founder Ziaur Rahman’s 36th death anniversary on Thursday. He said it is impossible to implement a budget given in political interest. “This government is using the budget politically keeping the election in mind,” he said. A few days ago we saw reports that 55% to 60% of last year’s budget has not been implemented till now.
