BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday claimed that their party is now much stronger and more united than in the past after their chairperson Khaleda Zia was put in jail. “They (the government) thought that the BNP would get split… We would like to say our party did not face any split, but it got even stronger,” he said. We all have now become united, and we are running the party under his leadership. BNP is now more united and much stronger than ever.”The BNP organized the program at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh in Dhaka, marking Language Martyrs Day and International Mother Language Day. “We all will remain united, free our leader Khaleda Zia, and restore democracy through a democratic movement,” he said.
