In a new warning today, Action Fraud said Brits should think twice and do their research before paying for any live events this season, with fraud typically at its highest over summer. Criminals often use these tools to trick victims into handing out money for tickets - which either fail to arrive or turn out to be fake. Last Year, Action Fraud received 4,755 reports of ticket fraud, with the average victim losing £365. "If you think you have been a victim of ticket fraud, report it to Action Fraud." "We continue to support action by enforcement agencies who are going after those who flout the law, as well as efforts by STAR and Action Fraud to raise awareness of how consumers can protect themselves from ticket fraud."
