The photo, which features Perez wearing sunglasses behind the headline “Perez Unbound,” was created by one of his students at Hanford High School in Richland, Washington. The image was inspired by a conversation he had with students about the life of first-class airline passengers. And if they don’t look at you they say the same thing,” Perez, who teaches government, told me. “I would like to say that as long as I have this platform, please kids, get registered to vote and you know, vote,” he said.
