Faizul wary of the Asiad opposition

KUALA LUMPUR: Sea Games gold medallist Faizul M. Nasir is wary of the opponents he will face in his mission to win gold when pencak silat makes its debut at the Asian Games in Indonesia next year. The 29-year-old won the under-55kg class gold at the 2015 Singapore Sea Games and defended it at the KL edition. "I believe I have a realistic chance of winning gold as most of the main contenders will still be from South East Asia," said Faizul. Faizul added that he will get a good chance to gauge the opposition at the pre-Asian Games tournament which will be held in Jakarta in February. "I really have to double up my preparation and training as the Asian Games will be a tough competition with everyone looking to win it for a first time.
