Fazal represented India U-19 as a youngster but moved to Railways for a brief two-year period. As a result, Fazal, 30, is the only player in the Indian squad travelling to Zimbabwe without a current IPL contract. His performance earned him a call up for the Rest of India in the Irani Trophy and scored a 127 against Mumbai in the Irani Cup. When it comes to batsmen in Vidarbha, no body could be as elegant as Faiz Fazal. The southpaw has been one of the consistent performers for the Central Zone team and stays in the top run-getters.
