FAISALABAD: Lawyers on Tuesday unlocked the premises of district courts, finally ending their protest seeking a Lahore High Court (LHC) bench in the city for the past 72 days. After the meeting, the DBA president told APP that the meeting discussed various matters, including lawyers’ protest and lockout of courts. The meeting was told that the government authorities had promised to fulfill lawyers’ demand for the LHC bench. “Therefore, the DBA has decided to end the protest and let the district courts function in the best interest of the litigants,” Ghumman said. To discuss the matter, the DBA president has also called a general house meeting on Thursday.
