A Wellington construction company's liquidation “could have been avoided” and its problems ran deeper than Covid-related issues, the developer behind one of firm's stalled projects believes. It has eight construction projects in progress throughout Wellington, including the $125m Paddington residential development with 150 terraced houses on Taranaki St. Dunajtschik says there is “no risk “ to purchasers of homes in the Paddington development. “We are now working through the options, to determine how best to proceed and get the project construction works under way again as soon as possible,” Barton-Chapple said. Armstrong Downes does not directly employ any staff; its workforce is employed by other Armstrong Downes group companies.
