Purbachal will have 26,000 residential plots of different sizes and 62,000 apartments with necessary infrastructure and urban facilities. An eight-lane wide expressway connects Dhaka airport road with the project. The revised time period for Purbachal project was July 1995 to December 2015, and the deadline was recently updated to December 2018. However, development work started in 2003. In the other sectors, site development work is ongoing.
