Facing terminal cancer, Kevin Carr fundraises - for someone else

Facing terminal cancer, Kevin Carr fundraises - for someone elseIain McGregor All Blacks logistics manager Kevin Carr, also known as Chalky, lays out balls at Christchurch's Rugby Park for training. In his four years as the All Blacks' logistics manager, Kevin "Chalky" Carr worked behind the scenes to ensure the team was prepared for trainings and matches. So when he found out earlier this year that his pancreatic cancer had returned, and that it was terminal, Carr stayed true to character and made a plan to raise money - for somebody else. Stacy Squires Carr was awarded a bravery medal by Governor-General Sir Jerry Mateparae for helping save lives in the CTV building collapse. Next Wednesday, All Blacks lock Sam Whitelock will shave the heads of Carr and his two sons, Jamie and Josh.
