On Monday, Facebook said Cambridge has agreed to a forensic audit of its servers and systems to determine whether the data was retained. A researcher who worked with the professor on the app is now currently an employee at Facebook, which is reviewing whether he knew about the data leak. Menlo Park, California-based Facebook no longer allows app developers to ask for access to data on users’ friends.
