Jayne Pearce, 23, was charged with attempted murder and detained in prison for ten weeks before police realised the allegation was false. Although she was cleared and the two mothers arrested, Ms Pearce was found dead in her flat in Royton, Greater Manchester, having taken a fatal combination of cocaine, anti-depressants and vodka.
