Facebook investigations gain another followerSUPPLIED Facebook shares have taken a heavy hit from the Cambridge Analytica saga, but only one person in NZ has expressed concerns to the privacy commissioner. Privacy commissioner John Edwards says he is monitoring investigations into the harvesting of data from Facebook users, but has not yet decided to launch his own investigation. Facebook deputy counsel Paul Grewal said last week that Cambridge University professor Aleksandr Kogan had passed data on 270,000 Facebook users to Cambridge Analytica in 2015. Facebook said Kogan gathered information on users through a personality test, called thisisyourdigitallife, that was available as an app on Facebook. Facebook has been contacted for comment on whether thisisyourdigitallife was available to Facebook users in New Zealand, and whether they may have been among the 270,000 Facebook users who may have had their "likes" communicated to Cambridge Analytica.
