Facebook is coming back online after a global outage that lasted about seven hours. Sydney-based Facebook spokeswoman Antonia Sanda apologised for the outage shortly before noon and asked for customers’ patience “as we come back online”. Earlier in the day, Vodafone and Spark put up recorded messages advising customers of the outage and Vodafone spokeswoman Nicky Preston said it was sharing what information it had on Twitter. A Facebook spokeswoman said there was “inaccurate information” being posted online but would not give specifics.
