More than a thousand people in countries including the United States, Morocco, Mexico, Bolivia and Brazil reported outages since 6 p.m. to DownDetector.com. Nick Tesfaye, who lives in the Moroccan city of Meknes, reported to the web service that Facebook had a 'total blackout.' It was not immediately clear if the Facebook outage on Wednesday was related to the larger outage.
