Facebook Lite to launch worldwideFACEBOOK.COM Facebook Lite uses about 1MG of data. Facebook said on Thursday (Friday morning, NZT) the Lite version, which has been available in New Zealand since 2015, would be available to users in more countries, including the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Ireland. According to Facebook's corporate site, Facebook Lite is less than 1MB and has News Feed, status updates, photos, and notifications. A version of Facebook Messenger Lite is also available.
