Earlier, the three accused filed a petition with the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court against the High Court order that stayed their bail petition. On November 5, the High Court stayed the bail petitions of the three accused and asked them to surrender before the lower court concerned in seven days. The accused are FR Tower land owner Syed Md Hossain Imam Faruque, Rajuk’s former inspector Md Aurangzeb Siddique Nannu and its former deputy director (estate) Md Sawkat Ali. The ACC filed a case with Gulshan Police Station against the three accused on charges of irregularities over the design of FR Tower and violating the building code in constructing the high-rise building.
