more-inThe women’s forum of the Federation of Malayali Association of America (FOMAA) on Friday gave away scholarships to deserving nursing students. The scholarships were given to meritorious students from economically backward sections, said Rekha Nair, secretary of the forum, in a statement. FOMAA, formed in 2006, claims to be the biggest Malayali body in North America with a membership of over 67 organisations. It works for the welfare of Malayalis as well as those from other Indian States in North America. The scholarships were distributed at a function held here on Sunday.
