The Western Railway began an 8-hour mega block at Elphinstone Road on Sunday at 9.30 pm, which would continue for ten hours. This comes following the works for the foot overbridge (FOB) covering Parel and Elphinstone Road stations, including the proposed Parel terminus. "During the block the trains would not halt at Mahalaxmi, Elphinstone Road and Matunga stations," said Ravinder Bhakar, chief PRO, WR. We expect this FOB to be ready for public before June," said a WR official. This one is right next to the recently inaugurated FOB built by the Army that was completed in 117 days.
