FLASHBACK: How CK Akonnor’s Hearts of Oak lost to Maxwell Konadu’s Kotoko in 2012


Hearts of Oak employed the services of Akonnor who had only managed Sekondi Eleven Wise. Ck was brought in to replace his predecessor Serbian, Nebojša Vu?i?evi?, as head coach. Asante Kotoko on the other also elevated Maxwell Konadu to the position as head coach a year after working as an assistant coach of the club. Konadu led Kotoko to win the league that season and Hearts of Oak relieved Akonnor of his duties but Maxwell Konadu earned dream job working as an assistant coach of the national team. Fast-forward to 2020 and Akonnor finally gets appointed as the head coach of the national team and Maxwell Konadu returns to Kotoko as head coach.
