TeslaElon Musk and Tesla have an enormous amount riding on the new Model 3, the company's first electric car priced for the masses (sort of). The reality is indeed minimalist, but it doesn't feel cheap, at least when premium interior upgrades are added. The spare layout is a striking contrast from any conventional gasoline or electric car in its price range. The good new is that the Model 3 is retailing for less than half the price of a Model S, but is only marginally less fun than Tesla's flagship. Musk appears to have created a great electric car that many more people will be able to afford.
