CAIRO, 25 November 2020: Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), announced the launch of the Arab Cup national for teams in December 2021 in Qatar, with the participation of Egypt. Infantino revealed on the FIFA website that 22 Arab teams will participate in the tournament, which will be held from December 1 to 18, 2021. Infantino was visiting the Lusail stadium, which is scheduled to host the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and the FIFA president said: "I expect the regional tournament in 2021 to gather millions of football fans from all over the Middle East and the Arab world." He revealed, "We are pleased that all 22 teams from all over the Arab world have agreed to participate in the Arab Cup, which will be held on the stadiums of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar." The 22 participating teams are Egypt, Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen.
