FG commended on fight against insecurity Tribune Online

THE Federal Government has been commended by the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) on its effort to combat insecurity just as it restated its commitment to improving healthcare services in the country. The commendation was given by the Association in a communiqué presented by its President Professor Ngim Ngim on Sunday in Gombe at the end of its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting. According to Ngim Ngim, the Federal Government should be commended for its efforts in combating insecurity in the country in view of the impact of insecurity on the health sector particularly in the North-East subregion which has been devastated by the acts of insurgency over the years. “Our members are determined to improve their conduct and professionalism with the aim of providing global standard health care services to Nigerians. The theme of the MDCAN National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, attended by 127 delegates from 61 chapters of the association, is; “Insurgency: Implications on National Health Indices.’’
