THE Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will certify that most contraceptives are non-abortifacients, thereby ensuring the “full implementation” of the Reproductive Health Law, an official of the Population Commission (PopCom) said on Thursday. The Supreme Court reiterated that the FDA should conduct a summary hearing and amend the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the RH Law. President Rodrigo Duterte, in his second State of the Nation Address, urged the high tribunal to lift the restraining order on the implementation of the RH Law. Lourdes Sereno clarified that the tribunal did not issue a TRO against the RH Law but only covered Implanon and Impanon NXT.
