The US Embassy in Mexico has announced that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a $50,000 reward in connection with the kidnapping of four American citizens in Mexico on Friday. The four Americans had crossed into Matamoros in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas in a white minivan with North Carolina plates when gunmen opened fire on them. One of the Americans kidnapped is Latavia “Tay” McGee who had gone to Mexico for a cosmetic medical procedure. She and her cousin Shaeed Woodard were among the victims with their friends Zindell Brown and Eric James Williams. Williams’ North Carolina driver’s license was found at the scene.
