FAT expects Nishino back by mid-AugustThailand coach Akira Nishino. National coach Akira Nishino is expected to return from Japan next month, the Football Association of Thailand said yesterday. Nishino has been with his family in his home country for months as he could not enter Thailand due to travel restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic. FAT secretary-general Patit Supaphong said yesterday the organisation is working with the Thai authorities for about 80 foreign players and coaches, including Nishino, to return to the country. He said the FAT had already submitted required documents to parties concerned and Nishino's entry should be approved soon.
