ISKANDAR PUTERI: A settlement has been reached between the FA of Malaysia (FAM) and Vion a.s. following a breach of contract with the Slovak club. FAM president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim disclosed that Vion were demanding €1.4 million (RM6.8m) as compensation but the club later agreed to reduce their claim. We will settle it over three payments with each amounting to €100,000 (RM480,000),” said Tunku Ismail after chairing FAM’s executive committee meeting on Friday. Meanwhile, Tunku Ismail confirmed that FAM will bid to host the AFC Under-23 Championships, scheduled in January 2020. “The executive committee agreed that we should bid for the tournament,” Tunku Ismail added.
