Extinction Rebellion activists have glued themselves to one of the entrances to the Houses of Parliament in an attempt to prevent MPs from entering the building and “causing more harm”. A specially trained police team were this morning trying to remove the nine protesters, who used superglue to stick themselves to the pavement outside the St Stephen’s entrance. Another group of about 25 demonstrators performed a sit-in outside one of the vehicle entrances and were cleared away by police.
