Under the visa-free program, Filipino tourists and businessmen can enter Taiwan with only their passports and are allowed to stay for 14 days. Reports about the alleged extension of Taiwan’s visa-free program for the Philippines first appeared in a United Arab Emirates-based Filipino newspaper on June 9. Taiwan’s visa-free program for the Philippines started on November 1, 2017, and was extended to until July 31, 2019, after evaluations conducted by Taiwanese authorities.
