The report claims issues around race were becoming less important and were not always a significant factor in explaining disparities. The report claims that while disparities exist at the top of public and private sectors, there are increasing levels of diversity in elite professions such as law and medicine. The pay gap between all ethnic minorities and the white majority population has shrunk to 2.3% and in 2019, among those younger than 30, there was no significant pay gap.
