Export slump slowed to 0.1% in June


Farm and agribusiness products continued to contract for the third month in June, by 7.9% year-on-year. Industrial products expanded for the first time in three months in June, led by automobiles and parts while petroleum-related products were still mired in a slump. For the first half, exports in this sector shrank by 4%. In the first half, exports from this sector expanded by 0.3%. Petroleum-related products, radio and TV sets and parts, plastic pellets and products, rubber products, jewellery and ornaments excluding gold continued to decline.
