It details the endless hooking, hacking and holding of Connor McDavid that went on in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings, fouling that NHL referees let go without penalty. It was a gross mistake by the game officials not to call a penalty on that one, and one or two others. Year ago, in 1991 superstar Mario Lemieux accused the NHL of being a “garage league” for allowing so much fouling to go on unpunished.
