From 17 to 23 February 2023, AOAV recorded incidents of explosive violence across 18 countries and territories. The most affected countries and territories for civilian casualties of explosive violence this week were Ukraine, Myanmar, and Syria. In Syria this week, AOAV recorded 12 incidents of explosive violence, and 23 civilian casualties. All actors should stop using explosive weapons with wide-area effects where there is likely to be a high concentration of civilians.
