Explosions were seen in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, as Israel warned it planned to hit a 'large number of targets'. Israel's military announced it was taking aim at the Lebanon-based Hezbollah's financial arm and planned to strike in Beirut and elsewhere at buildings belonging to al-Qard al-Hassan, a Hezbollah-run banking system that provides loans and banking services primarily to people who live in areas where Hezbollah is popular. Israel says the institution finances Hezbollah and 'its terrorist activities'
