An explosion has hit a tourist bus near a museum close to the Giza Pyramids in Egypt today. It is not yet known who is behind the bombing and no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack near the Grand Egyptian Museum. An explosion has injured an estimated 17 people near a museum on the outskirts of CairoIt has been reported the bus was carrying 25 tourists at the time of the explosion. A witness, Mohamed el-Mandouh, told Reuters he heard a 'very loud explosion' while sitting in traffic near the site of the blast. The road near the Grand Egyptian Museum is often popular with tour buses travelling to and from the Great Pyramid of Giza.
