Injured Springbok Damian de Allende has revealed how a decision to throw petrol on a fire pit backfired as he and three other players were rushed to hospital with burns. De Allende and RG Snyman were celebrating their Springboks squad selection with Munster team mates Mike Haley and CJ Stander in Ireland on the weekend when things turned dangerous in an instant. De Allende told Supersport.com the petrol can exploded, leaving him and Synman with burns to their hands, feet and faces. Munster said in a statement that de Allende and Snyman would seek further specialist advice later in the week.
