A drone rigged with explosives and sent by Isis allies killed two Peshmerga fighters in Iraq and badly wounded two French soldiers, according to a report. The craft was intercepted and exploded after coming down on 2 October, Le Monde said. The two French soldiers, from the special forces, were taken back to France for medical treatment. The numbers include special forces who have been training Kurdish Peshmerga forces in the north of the country. The French defence ministry, which has a policy of not discussing special forces’ operations, declined to comment on the Le Monde report.
