MIRI: A big chunk of a deep slope on top of the historic Canada Hill overlooking Miri city collapsed due to soil movement caused by heavy rain. “Heavy rain during the past few days has loosened the Canada Hill slope,” said Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting. Motorists have been asked to exercise caution when driving on Canada Hill. Motorists, especially tour buses going up Canada Hill, have been warned to be cautious. Canada Hill is the site of the famous Grand Old Lady which is the first inland oil well in Malaysia.
