Expert dispels fears over short time taken to develop jab


With just over 28 million Covid-19 vaccines administered in South Africa as of last Monday, the country has fallen short of its target to vaccinate 67% of the population by the end of 2021. Despite the threat of the Omicron variant and the current fourth wave of infections, vaccine uptake has slowed significantly in recent weeks with only 18 million people fully vaccinated. However, despite the slow roll-out, the Department of Health is offering booster shots to those who are fully vaccinated.
