Action movie star Jason Statham rubbed muscly shoulders with a New Zealand boxing champion at a Queenstown gym early yesterday. Statham represented England in diving at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland. Hadlow said Statham was impressed to hear about his aspirations to represent New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games on Australia’s Gold Coast in 2018. More recently he has been involved with blockbuster franchises like The Transporter, Fast & Furious and The Expendables.
