EFFECTIVE JUSTICEOn this International Justice Day, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Kenya’s justice system. The equation is straightforward: A stronger justice system means more jobs for Kenyans. The US has assigned experienced prosecutors to work with Kenya’s justice sector on anti-corruption, counterterrorism, and improving case resolution. The last few years have seen many improvements in Kenya’s justice sector. In addition, Kenya’s justice system would benefit greatly from fully funding the National Legal Aid Service to provide legal representation for poor accused persons.
