Officers from all available local units from Devon and Cornwall Police rushed to the scene and broke up the fight shortly before 7pm. Another witness said they made the decision to move from the beach as it started to get "uncomfortable." "The events of last night are the latest in a series of anti-social behaviour that's taken place in Orcombe Point over the last few weeks, he said. "It's understandable that residents wish to enjoy the beach during the hot weather but we must all do so in a responsible, considerate manner. "The dispersal set up by Devon and Cornwall Police is very welcomed."
