AmazonAmazon Web Services Inc. Chief Executive Andy Jassy sat down with me recently for an exclusive interview to share his outlook on the rapid rise of Amazon.com’s cloud business and the growth of the AWS cloud business. AWS is the pioneer and still the current leader of the cloud computing market. AWS’s different approach of rolling out tons of new services is disrupting the business from what Jassy calls “the old guard” such as Microsoft, IBM, and Oracle. AWS is also expanding the scope of its popular AWS Elemental Media Services suite with five new services designed to enable the end-to-end processing of video content. When asked about the competition and their efforts to catch AWS, Jassy professes not to care.
