Herriott, the president of the Patriots Defence Force Motorcycle Club in Dunedin, organised a ride for about 70 southern motorcyclists at the weekend which raised more than $1000 for southern Returned Services Associations. The Ride of Respect fundraiser is an event which originated in the UK and is replicated at numerous locations around New Zealand each year. The more than $1000 raised by the riders at the weekend would be given to the Awarua and Tapanui RSAs.
