Dr Mohammad Salahuddin Sharif and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shaikh Murshidul Islam said they have resolved the misunderstanding that led to a brawl between them over entry into a schoolyard in Lakshmipur town. The recently-retired civil surgeon, Dr Salahuddin, and the ADC also hugged each other during the meeting. Lakhsmipur’s Deputy Commissioner Humaira Begum, Superintendent of Police ASM Mahtab Uddin, and incumbent Civil Surgeon Dr Md Mostofa Khaled Ahmed were also present. Salahuddin and Murshidul had gone to the school to pick up their grandson and son respectively. ADC Murshidul, who was later made an “officer on special duty” (OSD), said the incident took place as they did not know each other before.
