PETALING JAYA: A Magistrate's Court here has dismissed an application by former Universiti Malaya Association of New Youth (Umany) president Wong Yan Ke to quash a charge of disobeying a police officer. In the dismissal, Magistrate Shahril Anuar Ahmad Mustapha said the court had scrutinised affidavits and submissions in the application. "The case will go on trial on June 26 and 27," he said here on Friday (May 31). Deputy Public Prosecutor Asmaa' Zamri appeared for the prosecution while lawyer Shashi Devan represented Wong. It was reported that a 24-year-old man was detained during a police raid conducted at a house here in connection with the sedition investigation involving Umany.
