A former US women's gymnastics coach with ties to disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar who was charged in Michigan on Thursday with two dozen crimes has died by suicide. During the Nassar scandal, Geddert was suspended by Indianapolis-based USA Gymnastics in January 2018 and announced his retirement the following day. On his LinkedIn page, Geddert described himself as the 'most decorated women's gymnastics coach in Michigan gymnastics history.'
